Hi there! Thank you for your interest in this viewing this product review blog on Original Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. This blog talks about the uses for Vaseline Petroleum jelly on Eczema skin (on my skin) which I personally think its GREAT for Atopic Eczema Skin and dry skin!
Please note: only applied on dry skin, not active or inflamed skin. Also not suitable for "after sun" moisturisation - it can make you itch like mad.
Product on Eczema Skin / Dry Skin:
- Feels so rich and moisturised for dry, flaky skin, and extremely skin, even cracked skin. (This is a lifesaver product for dry skin in my opinion, also great for combination skin. For example dry and sensitive skin) and be applied to entire body if needed.
- This softens rough / hard skin and making it feel supple.
- Great for winter and summer. (In the summer eczema skin can be even more dry as the skin will lose more moisture and its very important to protect and re-establish that barrier to prevent further moisture loss, at the same time Vaseline Petroleum Jelly will moisturise the skin).
- Fragrance-free / perfume-free (Only Original Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, there are other fragranced versions within Vaseline brand).
- PH Level / scale is Neutral - which great for not upsetting skin. (There is no taste to it if you have this as a lip balm).
- It can even help reduce appearance of wrinkles according to some reviews
- This actually lasts for hours if applied it right on skin. For more dewy feel spray some water / damp the skin with water and apply this product, it then becomes super moisturised!
This is also suitable for babies, teenagers, men and women who may have dry skin or sensitive skin, so it is an all rounder. However, some people may think this product and all other petroleum jelly products are greasy, now this is a matter of preference of and the fact that it can be greasy is great for dry skin because dry skin can be a like a sponge absorbing all the product which eventually feels so dry even after you have just applied it on your skin (this can be lotions, creams and gel-based products) and also it depends how much you have applied to your skin and how well evenly spread over the skin to feel that greasiness.

Beauty Tips:
- Can gently remove waterproof eye makeup using cotton buds
- Clean gel eyeliner brushes (this will feel like magic)
- As a lip balm
- Use as a hand cream
- Can be used as a face moisturiser
- Can be applied to eye lashes (in tiny amounts) to lengthen eyelashes (so I heard but not tried - try at your own risk)
- Moisturising your cuticles, fingers and toes
- Its very portable as it got in many sizes, you can even decant it into a small pot as a lip balm pot
- Mix it with a little bit of lipstick and will become your version of "Rosy tint Vaseline lip tin" :)
Excellent product as all-rounder for dry skin. Can be OK for normal skin as a lip balm.
